'Takoyaki often known as Japanese octopus balls, is a Japanese street food made using a special molded pan with circular cavity. The pan gives the popular food its distinct ball shape. A batter made using wheat flour is pour onto the pan, and pieces of octopus are added. Tempura scraps, red pickled ginger and green onion are generously poured on the pan after. Once the batter is almost set, 2 sharp sticks are used to turn and flip the Takoyaki. To finish off, Takoyaki sauce, mayonnaise and bonito flakes are added on top of the Takoyaki. Other stuffings such as ham and prawn are added instead of octopus. Takoyaki たこ焼き was known to originate from Osaka, where a street food vendor named Tomekichi Endo invented it in the 1930s. Takoyaki is often associated with the street food vendors of Japan, though some are sold in restaurants and even convenience stores. --------------------------------------------------------------------- SUBSCRIBE TO OUR CHANNEL FOR MORE STREET FOOD VIDEO HERE ▷ http://bit.ly/Sub2TCC #Takoyaki #JapaneseStreetFood #OctopusBalls'
